about the program

Parkland Minor Baseball Academy is excited to offer an after school program to kids from Parkland County and the greater Edmonton area. The Academy will take place in the evenings and weekends which will allow kids to attend the school of their choice and train with our professional staff during the week. Training will be open to athletes aged between 9 & 16 years old. Players will learn general age appropriate individual and team skills which will enable them to get a jump start on Spring evaluations and their upcoming season. The program will run from November through the end of February.

MIKE JOHNSON

Mike played professionally for 17 years, and has been coaching all ages of players for quite some time now. He is a coach within the Parkland system. He has run and been a part of programs similar to this for many years, and has had a lot of success in developing many players.

SHANE DAWSON

Shane is a Parkland Twins Alumni and was originally drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays. He has been the Head Coach of the Parkland Academy since its beginning in 2020. He also serves as the Technical Director for Parkland Minor Baseball, overseeing the development of its players and coaches.

The new and improved Parkland Indoor Facility has been upgraded with turf and gives us the best environment to focus on the individual skills that allows our players to be successful.

SENIOR PROGRAM: 25 PLAYERS MAX - AGED 14+ YRS OLD 

COST - $475/MONTH

Saturdays (10:00am-12:00pm) @ TLC

Sundays (11:00am-12:30pm) @ TLC

January/February

JUNIOR PROGRAM: 25 PLAYERS MAX - AGED 12-13 YRS OLD 

COST $375/MONTH

Sundays (12:30am-2:00pm) @ TLC

YOUTH PROGRAM: 25 PLAYERS MAX - AGED 9-11 YRS OLD 

The Youth Program will be run 2 days a week and month to month. You can sign up for as many months as you wish (November, December, January or February). 

COST $375/MONTH

REGISTRATION & PAYMENTS

Payments can be made through Teamsnap or via etransfer to pmbaacademy@gmail.com on or before the 1st of every month. Payments are due on or before the 1st of every month. If payment is not received before the 1st of the month, then the athlete will not be permitted to participate in training until all payments are up to date.
