Volunteering/Coaching

PMBA is in need of coaches and appreciate you taking interest in your child's ball season if in any way possible, every team needs a coach, assistant coach and manager if possible.

All Recreational level coaches are to complete on-line Respect in Sport.  In addition, ALL head coaches must complete the first level NCCP Initiation coaching clinic and Making Ethical Decisions online course. The majority of these courses are online, and fully reimbursed by PMBA assuming the Head Coach has fully completed his/her coaching responsibility for the season.

Coaches are mentors, motivators and leaders.  Along with parents and teachers, coaches have a profound impact on the future of our children.  The National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) gives coaches the confidence to succeed.  When you take an NCCP workshop, you'll not only gain sport-specific technical abilities, but also leadership and decision-making skills.  Additional info can be found on:  https://softball.ca/programs/coaching

Respect in Sport Program costs $30.00.  Softball Canada recommends that all coaches within Associations complete the Respect in Sport Program for the betterment of the experience of the children playing.
